What am I forgetting to pack?

]]>Time-Lapse Motion Lego Righttp://www.saugenphotography.com/blog/2010/6/14/time-lapse-motion-lego-rig.htmlLucas Saugen2010-06-14T20:45:06Z2010-06-14T20:45:06ZI spent some time this weekend playing with my Legos.  To be specific it's my Lego Mindstorm Robotics Kit!  As proof of concept I created this time-lapse motion rig.  I was taking a shot every five seconds and I found the best way to sync my camera to the rig was to use the mic and sense when the shutter released.  I've got some ideas on how to make the whole thing a lot better and it's a hell of a lot cheaper then some professional rig.

After completely rebuilding or replacing the entire fuel system I now have a running bike.

I'm going to do my best to clean the old tank and fuel tap so I can reuse them in the future on another bike but for now I'm very happy with the results.  You can see how much crud was in the tap and why absolutely no fuel was getting into the carburetor.

Since she runs my next step is going to be to take the girl apart and get her ready for powder coating.  I'm sticking with the same blue color but I just want to freshen the whole thing up.

While the body is off at paint I may take a stabe at rebuilding the motor and crank case.  Yippee!

]]>Tank Removalhttp://www.saugenphotography.com/blog/2010/5/31/tank-removal.htmlLucas Saugen2010-06-01T03:00:57Z2010-06-01T03:00:57ZAfter rebuilding my carburetor it became clear that the fuel line was clogged.  I ordered a new fuel line and in the process of removing the fuel from the tank I discovered this gunk in the tank.

I used the instructions I found over at ScooterHelp.com to remove the tank and the fuel line.  That guy is awesome just FYI.

So, today I order a whole new gas tank and fuel tap.  Stay tuned for my next installment.
