<p>After completely rebuilding or replacing the entire fuel system I now have a running bike.</p>
<p>I'm going to do my best to clean the old tank and fuel tap so I can reuse them in the future on another bike but for now I'm very happy with the results.&nbsp; You can see how much crud was in the tap and why absolutely no fuel was getting into the carburetor.</p>
<p>Since she runs my next step is going to be to take the girl apart and get her ready for powder coating.&nbsp; I'm sticking with the same blue color but I just want to freshen the whole thing up.</p>
<p>While the body is off at paint I may take a stabe at rebuilding the motor and crank case.&nbsp; Yippee!</p>

<p>I used the instructions I found over at <a class="offsite-link-inline" href="http://www.scooterhelp.com/genmaintain/vespa.fuel.tap.html">ScooterHelp.com</a> to remove the tank and the fuel line.&nbsp; That guy is awesome just FYI.</p>
<p>So, today I order a whole new gas tank and fuel tap.&nbsp; Stay tuned for my next installment.</p>
